One of the most impactful ways the WSE PTO supports our school is through our annual grant program. Thanks to funds raised through initiatives such as the Scout Sprint, Invest in WSE, spirit wear sales, and other community-supported programs, the WSE PTO has awarded more than $100,000 in teacher grants since our school opened in 2017.

 

These grants have helped fund playground equipment, STEM resources, curriculum enhancements, classroom improvements, and countless other projects that enrich the educational experience for all WSE students.

 

The Impact of Grants

 

 

 

 The PTO approved Coach Wade's grant application of $4,000 in May 2023 and the Gaga Ball pit was installed in November 2023. Our WSE kids love having another way to play and get their bodies moving during recess and PE!

 

 

 

 

Front facing shelves have been added batch by batch to the WSE library with the help of PTO grants. Former librarian, Ms. Vining shared, "I wanted to share photos of the effect the front facing shelves have had. Having books front facing is the best way for young students to browse. It enables them to explore the library collection easily and independently." Happy reading, Explorers!
